Hi,
Hi, I was prescribed Anafranil (generic clomipramine) and I have tried everything else. I have used a different brand name medication, but theres no difference. I did not want to use another name for Anafranil. I have been told that there are no drug interactions with other medications. I know that the generic versions are not as potent as the brand name versions and I'm not sure what they are. I also know that taking the generic version of Anafranil has been shown to cause fewer side effects and less of a difference in effectiveness as compared to the brand name version. I'm just curious if anyone else has had the same experience with Anafranil.
My doctor prescribed me Anafranil (generic clomipramine) for my depression and anxiety. The brand name version (generic clomipramine) was not as effective as the generic versions and I believe this may be due to the side effects of other medications or the fact that they are not as potent as the generic versions.
I've been taking Anafranil for about a year now. It was prescribed to me to try to treat my depression with some other antidepressants and couldn't really find anything other than the generic version. I am now taking it on my own. It has been working for about 3 weeks now. My psychiatrist said that I am not depressed at all and would prescribe me an antidepressant but if I were depressed, wouldn't I just take Anafranil and try it?
My doctor told me that it would take about 2 weeks for me to start seeing any improvement in my symptoms. I'm not sure if that's true or if I need to take other medications or if I just want to take a break and hope to see a change in my depression and anxiety symptoms.
Any advice? I'm really curious if anyone else has had the same experience?
This is what I've been reading online:Yes, I am depressed. I am not depressed at all, but I do not want to make a decision that would make my depression or anxiety worse.
I am also still on the Anafranil brand. I did not know that the generic versions were also not as effective as the brand name versions. I am just curious if anyone else has had the same experience?
Thanks for any help. I'll check back after I finish reading your post again. I was prescribed an antidepressant and it was not effective at all. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience with Anafranil.
I will be doing another follow up appointment later this week. My doctor has suggested that I do not feel depressed for a few weeks but I am going to try Anafranil again. I'm just wondering if anyone else had the same experience?
PS: I am on Anafranil 5mg but I'm taking it for the first time since I am on it. I will talk to my doctor about this.
Thank you!

Youre welcome, and sorry I can't help you. I'll be in touch. I'll see what I can do. Good luck!
This blog is brought to you by my doctor. You may also find it useful.Hi. I was prescribed Anafranil (generic clomipramine). I took it for a week or two in an attempt to get a better balance between depression and anxiety. I have tried all other antidepressants and nothing worked. I am not depressed and I am not depressed at all.
I took the generic version of Anafranil for my depression and anxiety and didn't see any improvement in my symptoms. I am still on it and am on an antidepressant. The only other antidepressant I have tried was Wellbutrin. I took it for the same problem. I am not depressed at all but just anxious. I took Wellbutrin for two weeks.
I am just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience?

It is classified as a tricyclic antidepressant, and it works by increasing the amount of serotonin in the brain. This increase is believed to be caused by the release of dopamine in the brain. This is thought to be caused by the effect of the drug in increasing the amount of serotonin. Anafranil was originally developed for the treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). It was eventually patented by the drug company Pfizer in 1989. Anafranil was quickly marketed as an over-the-counter (OTC) treatment and was approved for use in the United States for the treatment of OCD.
